Emergency and Critical Care Service Support Fund
The Emergency and Critical Care Service team is there for you and your pets when it is an emergency. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our board-certified veterinarians, residents and interns, and critical care technicians are ready to handle any medical situation and are dedicated to providing the best care for your animal.
Our need
Today we look to the future of patient care and training tomorrow’s veterinarians. Investments in infrastructure and our people will help us to expand exceptional medical care and learning experiences.
Remodel the hospital. Create a more efficient model of care including an outpatient service center, telehealth, and behavioral health services. This new flexible space will enhance inter-professional practice incorporating paraprofessionals working side-by-side with clinicians and students. We will repurpose existing spaces for a state-of-the-art critical care unit with separate intermediate care and urgent/emergency room facilities.
Upgrade equipment. Replace equipment, including diagnostic and surgical equipment, to keep pace with new models of practice, including telemonitoring and non-invasive surgical techniques.
Invest in our people and prioritize wellness. Build a sustainable practice with initiatives including incentivized salary support at all levels, increasing staff to clinician ratios, reduced workweek hours, mentoring interns, residents and junior faculty members, and enhanced teamwork.
