Fitzell Family Scholarship in Memory of Ted

Placeholder image

This scholarship is offered in the memory of our beloved Ted, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He lived life to the fullest and was always happy and ready for a rousing game of fetch.

His calling in life was being a therapy dog. He loved visiting Alzheimer's patients and young children with disabilities. It was my honor to be at the end of his leash as he sought out those that needed his attention.

Washington State Veterinary College saved his life and gave us several more years with him. For that we are grateful. Becoming a veterinarian is a challenge and starting your career with debt is not easy. We hope this scholarship will help in some small way.

This scholarship is to award scholarships to DVM students who are interested in practicing veterinary medicine in the Pacific Northwest and demonstrate financial need.
